Hello, Saturday! It's about time you arrived. There is no better start to anyone's weekend than a hearty breakfast. Today, The Foodista takes you to a well established coffee shop - Beyond Coffee.
Artsy, free WiFi and comfortable chairs sums up Beyond Coffee. We chose to sit indoors, in the comfort of the air conditioner and started our lovely breakfast with hash browns, cafe latte and green tea. While the waiters were slow and lackadaisical, I told myself to write it off blaming it on Hyderabad's chalta hai attitude. I was determined not to ruin my weekend's first morning.
The Hash browns were hot, and the edges were crisped to perfection, it was like the stuff of legends. Next came the Crispy bacon, eggs to order and pancakes with maple syrup and toast. The bacon was hardly crispy, the omelette was intact, generously filled with cheese, tomatoes and ham and the pancakes were soft. The waiter refused to swap the maple syrup for chocolate sauce leaving me utterly disappointed. As my omelette was egg white, I was required to pay an additional Rs. 35 to the otherwise already overpriced dish (Rs. 260). Finally, the Caffe latte was a pure Arabica delight!
I dig the atmosphere here. It's quite in the mornings but gets busy through the day. You can appreciate the art surrounding you while you sip your coffee or enjoy a simple meal. The waiters don't bother you and you're not thrown the bill half way through your meal, signalling the door and your exit, in order to seat more customers. All in all, it's a good start to your weekend!
P.S - Pick up their breads on your way out- they are fresh, soft and the slices big!
What's hot - Hash browns
What's not - Bacon - ask them to make it crispy, it might just be good!
Your Foodista
