India Warns US Over Food Stockpiling As WTO Deal Goes Down To Wire

With elections coming up and the Indian government scampering to cover frauds and corruption allegations, every person following Indian news will know that the Congress government has been the laughing stock for quite some time now. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh may not utter a word, but his government makes some valid points from time to time. In the upcoming WTO meet to be held at Bali, the Indian government is pushing for poorer countries to be exempt from limits on subsidies when they stockpile food to support low-income or resource-poor farmers. Whether or not the rule gets amended, Singh's government has to be commended!
